Council owned shop units available to let
The council owns a wide range of commercial properties including industrial units, offices, warehouses and shops, and there are often properties available to let.
Examples of this are the popular start up units available in Blatchford Close in Horsham, which offer light industrial/office space (use class B1) for let on short term agreements.

The council also oversees a facility within Lavinia House in Dukes Square, Denne Road, Horsham, managed by Age Concern, which has desk space and meeting room facilities for let on a monthly basis.
These are suitable for start up and home based businesses where one or more desks are required without a longer term commitment.
Retail units of various sizes and in various locations are also part of the Council’s estate and offer opportunities for small retail enterprises. Two shops have recently become available at Blackbridge Lane in Horsham and Lintot Square in Southwater.

These properties are managed by Horsham District Council and staff are happy to discuss any current opportunities with prospective tenants.
Horsham District Council’s cabinet member for efficiency and resources, Roger Arthur, said: “The council often has some competitive opportunities for businesses to take advantage of, whether on a short or long term basis.
“It’s certainly worth checking the website or giving the Council a call to see if one of these properties could be suitable for your business.”
Commercial properties available for rent are regularly posted on the Council’s website.
