The Government’s planning inspectorate has today (Monday, February 8) overturned Chichester District Council’s refusal of the new homes on land south of Clappers Lane, between Bracklesham and Earnley.
Outline planning approval has now been granted to developer Wates Developments Ltd, who lodged the appeal against the district council’s refusal.

Wates scaled back the development to 110 homes after losing a previous appeal for 160 homes on the same site.
An application for a full award of costs from Wates Developments Ltd was refused.
