Charity fundraising concert hits the right notes to help a hospice
Their selfless efforts enabled £1,410 to be raised from the concert for St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
Those involved got together to celebrate the success of the occasion at the Newtown Sports and Social Club.

Hide AdJoint organiser Caroline Wilson worked with Ian Harding to stage the gig for a cause close to her heart.
She said: “I’m pleased with what we have raised. We did the entire concert in six weeks from start to finish.
“It was an absolutely fantastic night.
“The club was packed out with 150 people and we could have sold three times that number of tickets.
“Everyone should be really proud of what they achieved that night and the venue was perfect.”

Hide AdStatus Quo member Jackie Lynton joined the local musicians on the stage.
The Rox Band, Bullitt and Dave Hooper and Friends all played their parts in creating a night to remember.
“People were dancing from when Dave sang the first song right through to the last song,” said Caroline.
“A lot of them have been asking when we are going to stage another night like it.
“We definitely will, but it will probably be for another charity.”
