Community artwork unveiled at i360
Collectively, they painted over half a million dots – without knowing what the end result would look like – to form a horizontal image of British Airways i360, the surrounding arches and beachfront.
The artwork is now on public display after being unveiled at the i360's West Beach Bar & Kitchen on Thursday.

Hide AdThe work, called May iPaint 360 is a result of collaboration between members of the public, the Bailey Contemporary Arts gallery and local businesses.
Peter Spence, resident artist at Bailey Contemporary Arts who coordinated the painting’s creation, said: "It reflects the quirkiness and artistic ability of Brighton as a city.
“We randomly chose 360 members of the public and they created this amazing art – the end result was totally stunning, creating over half a million dots between them to form a painting of Brighton’s newest attraction – British Airways i360."
Steve Bax, executive director of British Airways i360, said: "“We’re delighted to be hosting this magnificent artwork. May iPaint 360 is proof of how well the local community, businesses and art world can collaborate to create something truly wonderful”.

Hide AdMay iPaint 360 was donated to British Airways i360 by Sandra Streeter, who had won the artwork in a raffle organised by Healys Solicitors. All profits from the raffle were donated to Team Domenica, a Brighton charity which supports young adults with learning difficulties seeking employment.
After the unveiling ceremony, with speeches from Peter Spence and Steve Bax, attendees celebrated at 450ft with a flight on British Airways i360.
