Former nurse charged with sexual assaults at hospitals

A former nurse from Bognor Regis has been charged with sexual assaults on patients at two West Sussex hospitals, Sussex police has said.

Stephen Board, 66, now unemployed, of Linden Road, is due to appear at Worthing Magistrates Court on Tuesday, November 29, a police spokesman said.

He is charged with sexual assaults on patients at Chichester and Worthing hospitals while he was employed as a nurse.

Three offences relate to St Richards Hospital last year; four offences relate to Worthing Hospital in 2008; and with two offences

related to Worthing Hospital in 2006, said police.

The charges follow an investigation by detectives from the West Sussex Safeguarding Investigations Unit.
