Goring slimmers support charity
SLIMMERS from a Goring weight loss group have raised £300 for charity.
Members of Slimming World, based in the United Reform Church, in Shaftesbury Avenue, raised the money over the last six weeks, by putting small change in a special collection box, and member Lisa Swain did a sponsored slim.
The money will go to the Chestnut Tree House.
Kerry Brockhurst, who runs the group, said: “I’m so proud of my members. Not only are they losing weight beautifully, they’re raising money for charity too. People might think it’s not a big deal to drop a few pence into the box every now and again but all that small change adds up.
