Richard Butler, director of Mansell McTaggart in High Street, Cuckfield, is one of 700 cyclists taking part in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain, from Land’s End to John O’ Groats.
Richard, who will be camping out each night along the way, is raising sponsorship money for Parkinson’s UK.

“It is a worrying future ahead for sufferers of this disease and that’s why I want to help by raising as much money as I can for such a worthwhile cause.”
Last year, he raised £4,200 with a London to Paris ride, and says he is curious to know whether he can raise more this time.
“I think I might have my work cut out with this one but excited nevertheless about the challenge ahead and raising as much money as possible for such a worthwhile cause.”
The ride begins on September 10 this year.
