With the disruption unavoidable in the summer months, the badminton clubs on Fridays will be closed until September. However, in their place, we have some Badminton Coaching Sessions open to all at just £2.50 a session. This is a great opportunity to improve your game, so don’t miss the chance! There will be two sessions with Sheldon Chambers, a level 2 Badminton England Coach, for the next two Fridays with Under 12s at 6.30pm and Over 12s at 7.30pm.

Dance Club meets in the Village Hall at 7.30pm.

It’s time for Messy Church again on Sunday and this month the theme is Running the Race – a hectic afternoon based around athletics which is always great fun. Everyone is very welcome at St Mary’s at 4pm, and you even get tea!

The Over 60s meet on Tuesday at 2pm in the Village Hall to enjoy members’ selections of poetry and prose.

Coffee Stop opens each Wednesday between 10am and 12 noon in the Church Centre, and this week Becky Unicombe, our PCSO, will be there from 11am. There have been a few unpleasant incidents of vandalism recently, and I know that Becky and her colleagues are working hard to identify the culprits and encourage them to be more public spirited. Please do report any incidents so that they can have a complete picture of what is happening.

On Wednesday afternoon, Linda and Mike Belton invite you to their Open Garden at South Grange, Quickbourne Lane as part of the NGS charity scheme. The garden is accessible for wheelchairs, and there will be plants and refreshments on sale.

Northiam Seniors’ Club meets in the Village Hall on Thursday, and this week’s entertainment will be provided by Midnight Sunset.

I’m very impressed to see that Northiam Primary School will be giving a performance of Macbeth on Thursday starting at 6.30pm. Tickets are on sale from the school office.
