Now it's the turn of the elderly
Age Concern and Newhaven Community Development Association (NCDA) are producing questionnaires, collecting information, holding discussion groups and compiling a list of activities on offer for the elderly in the town.
NCDA programme manager Penny Shimmin said: 'We have secured funding for children under four in the town and are busy trying to improve facilities for the older people in Newhaven. Now is the time to address the needs of our senior citizens.'

'This is an opportunity for Newhaven's senior citizens to make a real difference in improving the lives of a large number of their fellow residents.'
Volunteers will be given free training. People interested can call Sally Foote on 01273 612539 for an informal chat.
