A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision in East Sussex this afternoon (Thursday, May 21), police have said.

According to Sussex Police, a pedestrian, 'in her late 60s', was involved in a collision with a van at the Seven Dials roundabout in Brighton shortly before 3.15pm.

Emergency services responded to the incident and the woman was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious injuries, police said.

A spokesperson added: "Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any other information about it is asked to email [email protected] or call 101 quoting Operation Greencourt.
