Drone helps police locate missing person in West Wittering
A search was carried out in West Wittering last night to locate a person reported missing.
Police were called at 9.14pm on Tuesday (January 12) due to concerns for the welfare of a man believed to be in the vicinity of West Wittering beach, a spokesman said.
Officers attended and carried out a search of the area, with the use of a drone and assistance from HM Coastguard.
The man was found safe and well.
Drone footage shared by Chichester Police on Twitter shows an officer lead the missing man back to safety.
