Former Conservative chancellor and journalist makes his home in Eastbourne
Lord Nigel Lawson, a former Conservative chancellor in Margaret Thatcher’s government, has moved to Eastbourne.
Lord Lawson, whose son Tom is headmaster at Eastbourne College, has also become the patron of Eastbourne Conservative Association.
An association spokesperson said, “We are delighted that Lord Lawson has moved to Eastbourne and even more so that he has accepted the role of patron.

Eighty-nine-year-old Lord Lawson, whose daughter Nigella is the food writer and celebrity cook and son Dominic is a journalist, was an MP from 1974 to 1992 and has a life peerage in the House of Lords.
