The site will be extensively investigated by forensic teams from both East Sussex Fire and Rescue and Sussex Police.
The spokeswoman said: 'The investigation will be a meticulous and time-consuming process.'
The fire was allowed to burn itself out and people stayed away because of the danger further explosions from acetylene tanks.
They take 24 hours to cool.
