Henfield man ‘killed by train’ in Hassocks
Emergency services arrived at Hassocks railway station just after 2pm.
The 49-year-old was declared dead at the scene.
A BTP spokesperson said: “Just after 2pm today, Monday April 7, we received reports of a person having been struck by a train at Hassocks station.

Hide Ad“Officers attended, alongside colleagues from Sussex Police and local paramedics and discovered a man had been struck and killed by a train.
“The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and officers are currently working to formally identify the deceased.
“Following the formal identification we will assist in the preparation of a report for the coroner.”
