VIDEO: Large fire in outbuilding in Hastings
Four fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were used to battle the blaze for almost three hours at the unoccupied building in Magdalen Road, which an eyewitness identified as the old school.
Police were also in attendance and an investigation has been launched into possible causes, the force has confirmed.

Hide AdFire crews reported the blaze appeared to have been started deliberately, a police spokesperson said. Fire services were called to the fire at 9.50pm and stayed until 12.40am, combating the fire with two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a jet.
A crew was sent back to the site this morning to ensure the fire was out, as is standard practice with larger incidents, a fire service spokesman added.
