This laundry detergent has been recalled due to urgent safety concerns
A laundry detergent has been recalled from UK supermarkets over concerns it contains a hazardous liquid.
The affected bottles of Ecover contain potassium hydroxide at dangerous levels that can cause the bottle to leak.

The specific product being recalled is Ecover’s 1.5 litre size Zero Non-Bio Laundry Liquid.
The affected bottle, which was available for sale in the UK from November 2020, could cause skin burns or eye damage, if the user comes in contact with the liquid.
An Ecover statement reads: “We are taking this risk very seriously, so we are recalling affected bottles from retailers and consumers immediately.
“As an organisation that lives and breathes clean, we are deeply disappointed and apologise for this issue.

“We will be organising collection of the bottles direct from consumers through this website, following Covid-19 protocol, as well as offering refunds and additional support.”
