It was particularly pleasing as Fernhurst were the presented with three trophies their teams had won. These were the ladies’ A team who won summer division four, the mixed doubles veterans’ side who won summer division two and the mixed doubles division-three winter team.
The team captains, the players and the club’s team manager Judith Turner were all delighted.

“We quite often put out people who have never played together before, rather than sticking to a set four, so are even more pleased we have done well and are looking forward to a good winter season. So far we are leading the ladies and lying second in the veteran mixed so things are looking good – but all could change.”
