Brighton have played some decent football this season but one win in eight is a disappointing return for Graham Potter's men.
Their one victory arrived at Newcastle back in September and they are just three points above the drop zone with six from their first eight matches.
Their approach play has been good with Adam Lallana and Tariq Lamptey a particular threat.
But Aston Villa have been impressive this season with Jack Grealish, Ollie Watkins and Ross Barkley in top form for Dean Smith's men

1. Maty Ryan
Brighton's No 1 was dropped at Spurs but returned against Burnley and kept a clean sheet. Should start at Villa Park but the Aussie international knows his place is no longer guaranteed.
2. Tariq Lamptey
Brighton's brilliant young wing back will enjoy sharing the same side of the pitch as Jack Grealish. One of many intriguing clashes to look out for at Villa Park
3. Joel Veltman
Impressed in Lewis Dunk's absence and could well keep his place on the right side of the defensive trio
4. Lewis Dunk
The Albion skipper will return to the heart of the defence having served his three match ban
