Graham Potter's Albion have beaten Tottenham and Liverpool and swiftly followed that with a creditable draw at Burnley.
Despite their midweek defeat in the FA Cup at Leicester, Albion will approach the match with confidence against an Aston Villa team who have also impressed this season.
Potter has a few selection head-scratchers as Tariq Lamptey (hamstring) and Davy Propper (groin) remain sidelined and he also has a big decision to make on Adam Webster, who rolled his ankle at Burnley last week.

1. Robert Sanchez
The 6ft 6in Spaniard continues to make a fine impression in the Premier League. Graham Potter described him as a 'monster' after his excellent display at Burnley last week
2. Ben White
A smooth operator for Brighton and will likely take his place on the right side of the defensive trio. Made the step up to the Premier League look easy this season
3. Lewis Dunk
Brighton's captain and their best player. A fierce will to win and is a defender at the top of game at the moment. England must be blessed with some outstanding centre halves as Dunk still can't seem to get a look in
4. Adam Webster
A big call for Potter here. Can the defender fully recover in time after injurying his ankle at Burnley
