New kid on block takes title
Eighteen-year-old Ben Martin, who plays off plus one, had to contend with wind and rain in the competition on the lower course when he defeated Nigel Harrington 4 & 3.
Ben's family moved to Worthing from Trinidad where they had lived for the past 20 years, and he spent time at a golf academy in Florida before joining them in Sussex in May.

Hide AdIn Trinidad, the family home was on a golf course, where Ben started playing at the age of six. Before he left, he had won the biggest championship there, the Trinidad and Tobago Open, three times.
