Jimmy Robertson fell at the final hurdle in his quest to reach the Betfred World Snooker Championship.

The Bexhill cueman was beaten 10-2 by Alan McManus in the final round of the qualifiers having pulled off highly impressive victories in the previous two rounds.

Robertson would have gone into the final round match full of confidence, but got off to the worst possible start by losing the first five frames in the opening session yesterday (Tuesday). McManus’s top break during that sequence was an 85 in frame three.
