The former Londis store in Caterways – voted Best Store and Best Post Office in the UK – has now been refurbished as Budgens Caterways.
Store owner Amish Shingadia said: “The store has been trading under the Londis fascia since we took over some eight year ago, but we needed to take the store to the next level and Budgens was the right fascia for us.

“They offer great quality and value. The store is now fully modernised to offer our shoppers a full basket shopping mission, and we are keen to ensure that we always work to meet our customers’ and community expectations and service.
"We are proud of the new store and are happy to be offering an even better experience for our loyal customers.”
The store’s major refit has seen the shop transformed with an expanded fresh produce range including Tesco’s Jack range, other Tesco’s Jacks own label products and a ‘Food to Go’ section including Costa and fresh cakes from a local bakery.

As well as winning numerous awards including Best Store and Best Post office in the UK, the store was also nationally recognised as a ‘Community Hero’ at the Houses of Parliament during the Covid pandemic.
Martin Boffey, Horsham District Councillor for Trafalgar Ward and Steve Swain, chairman of the Coots Farm Community, were among those who attended the store’s relaunch on Friday.
Steve Swain said when the store first opened, “it was immediately clear that Amish Shingadia and his staff wanted to be involved with the community. Over the years Amish has supported our Annual Fayre and various raffles with great enthusiasm and generosity.
