Kamsons, an independent family-owned company, has more than 70 branches across England and now it can add the Polgate pharmacy on 43 High Street to that group.
The pharmacy had been facing closure by previous owners Lloyds as part of cost-cutting measures but Kamsons came forward to take on the facility with the support of NHS England.

“We hope that with our free delivery and friendly team the people of Polegate will try out the pharmacy and be impressed.”
Hannah Robinson, originally from Eastbourne, is the manager at the Polegate branch. Ms Robinson is a former student at Ratton School, she studied pharmacy at the University of Lincoln before completing her pre-registration training year at Kamsons’ branch in Langney.
Ms Robinson said, “I am thrilled to have been appointed manager of the pharmacy. I know that a good pharmacy plays an important role in the life of a healthy community.

Kamsons opened its first pharmacy in Uckfield more than 40 years ago. Kamsons says it prides itself on being small enough to offer a high level of personal care for its customers while having the strength and influence to develop new and innovative services.
Polegate customers whose electronic NHS prescriptions were previously sent to the Lloyds pharmacy at this address will need to nominate Kamsons Pharmacy at 43 High Street in Polegate to continue receiving them.
