Christians to gather in town for prayer week
The occasion will be the united service which forms the centrepiece of the town's contribution to the annual international week of prayer for Christian unity.
Sunday's (January 18) occasion will be called We Are Special and will take place at 4pm at St Wilfrid's Church in Ellasdale Road.

L'Arche Bognor community worker Chris Bemrose said: "We are all members of one church in Bognor, though we may belong to different denominations.
"In that, we are all like different parts of the body that need to operate together if it is to function as it should.
"We wanted, therefore, to use the service as an opportunity to get to know one another a little better across our different denominations."

There will also be an open meeting led by Ian Chisnall, the mission and ministry co-ordinator for Churches Together in Sussex. This will take place at noon on Tuesday, January 20, at the Royal Norfolk Hotel.
Anyone interested in Christian unity is welcome to attend. Hot drinks will be available but packed lunches should be taken along.
Father Andrew Wadsworh, the vicar of St Wilfrid's, said the week's activities were an important antidote to the conflicts which sometimes arose between Christians.
