Glorious Gloria opens Bexhill care home

TV and radio presenter Gloria Hunniford was guest of honour at the official opening of Southlands Place Care Home yesterday (Saturday, April 30).

She brought some glorious sunshine with her when she arrived at the Hastings Road home to cut the ribbon, alongside general manager Brigid Sedourand.

Gloria spent several hours touring the new complex and chatting with many of the home’s residents.

The tour included a sunlit walk around the gardens to the soothing sounds of the Sussex String Quartet.

She rounded off her visit over lunch with members of the home’s staff and special guests.

Southlands Place is a privately owned nursing care home which can accommodate 72 residents aged 60 plus.

It offers a purpose-built care environment tailored to residential and nursing needs, as well as dementia care.
