£1.4 million to tackle pothole menace
THE Government is giving more than £1 million to East Sussex County Council to repair our crumbling roads.
Roads are in a terrible state made worse by the wettest winter on record.
The latest government grant is on top of the £2.65 million the Department for Transport gave the county council earlier this year and the £50 million investment made by the council to improve its road network.

Hide AdNationally it forms the biggest road improvement scheme since the 1970’s.
The county council claims it has already repaired more than 27,000 pot holes across the county this year but more needs to be done with roads at historic Winchelsea cracking up.
