Rustington Players stage Pygmalion
The company will be sticking closely to George Bernard Shaw’s original approach to the story of Professor Higgins’ attempt to transform humble Eliza to a Duchess, rather than the more romanticised version in the musical My Fair Lady.
“It is an exceptional play and we hope our readers will enjoy it,” says Val Daly, the director.

Hide AdThe male chauvinist professor (Nick Rowling) has a wager with his new friend Col Pickering (Nigel Peacock) that he can work wonders with Eliza (Cat McLelland), and she will be at ease in polite society.
But Eliza has a mind of her own and the metamorphosis is far from straightforward.
The 13-strong cast includes Players’ stalwarts and some newcomers.
Performances are at the Woodland Centre, Woodlands Avenue, Rustington, from Wednesday to Saturday (March 13-16) at 7.45pm.
