Singers Rechoired raise funds for charity with concert

A Worthing based community choir held a concert in aid of the Cardiac Rehab Support Charity.

On Friday, July 1, Singers Rechoired hosted a concert at the Broadwater Baptist Church in Dominion Road and the choir performed an eclectic mix of songs.

In order to mark the Somme Centenary Anniversary, the congregation held a minutes silence led by Councillor Paul Baker, Ward Councillor for Broadwater.

The concert finale culminated in a suite of songs put together to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, and all members of the audience were encouraged to participate.

The concert raised a sum of £628 for the charity.

Gill Ransom, trustee of Cardiac Rehab Support, said: “It was a very good concert, please pass on my thanks to all concerned at Singers Rechoired for choosing Cardiac Rehab Support for your chosen charity this year.’

Brett Wellcome, MD of Singers Rechoired, said: “The choir have worked hard over the last few months and I am delighted with how they all performed this evening - a great success.”
