VAN DRIVER FOUND GUILTY OF CARELESS DRIVING
Daniel Southion, 30, from Sidcup in Kent, stood trial at Worthing Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, May 2.
Magistrates found him guilty of careless driving in relation to an incident on March 6 last year when the van he was driving collided with 59-year-old postman Paul Lawson from Tarring.
Mr Lawson died two weeks later in hospital.

Hide AdMagistrates disqualified Southion from driving for six months after giving him six penalty points on his licence which, added to six points from previous convictions, meant an automatic disqualification.
But after James McCooey, defending, said Southion would be appealing the sentence at the crown court, magistrates agreed to suspend the ban until the appeal was heard.
