Police were called to Ambrose Place in Worthing town centre just before 3.30pm on Thursday, November 5, after occupants of one of the flats confronted a man they believed had stolen a mobile phone. On calling the missing phone, the thief's pocket lit up and he quickly handed the stolen item back. After he left the property, the people realised a wallet had been stolen. The man is described as a white 6ft tall man who is in his 30s and has short dark hair. He has a scar on his right cheek and at the time was wearing a black jacket and a silver top with jeans. He escaped and headed towards Worthing Railway Station.
