Cook is England ODI captain and has secured the No2 spot in the England batting order alongside Test captain Andrew Strauss and has been scoring consistently in this position for many years. He made his Test debut in 2006 in India after captaining England’s under-19s for a year. In his opening Test he scored a memorable 60 and his first England 100. Since then Cook has gone from strength to strength.
