Bognor manager Jack Pearce and coach Robbie Blake have made yet another significant signing as the club gears up for the resumption of football at Nyewood Lane.

Hot on the heels of announcing the swoop for defender Joe Hancott from Portsmouth, the Rocks have revealed the identity of their new groundsman – in the shape of James Askew.

Askew replaces the outgoing Brian Quinnell and just like left-back Hancott, he arrives with Fratton Park experience. For the incoming turf tender was previously assistant groundsman at Pompey and also has had considerable previous experience at Sussex County Cricket Club amongst others.
