Last-minute penalty sinks Golds at home to Selsey
After a 6-1 win at East Grinstead on Saturday, Golds were sunk by a late Peter Williams penalty against Selsey, given for Shay Wiggans’ deliberate handball, which resulted in his second booking.
George Gaskin had Littlehampton’s only two chances of the half. He firstly hit the post after just two minutes, then linked up well with Dan Simmonds, before he saw his effort saved by Sam Joyce.

Selsey’s Ryan Morey struck the bar on 79 minutes, before Alex Kew and Simmonds both had opportunities for Golds.
Sesley got the winner late on when Graham Bush’s shot hit Wiggans’ arm and Williams’ spot-kick settled the outcome.
Littlehampton manager Mark Bennett said: “It was a bad day at the office. We had enough chances to win but didn’t take them. The referee ruined the game but we didn’t play very well.”
