WORTHING Football Club joint boss Gary Elphick is hoping his side can make the most of home comforts in the coming weeks.

Rebels have been on an impressive run in the Ryman League South this season and currently sit third in the table.

Worthing have picked up 34 points from their opening 17 games and trail league leaders Folkestone Invicta by just six points.

And Elphick’s men now have four key matches as they look to remain in the chasing pack.

They host East Grinstead Town on Saturday before further home games with Dorking Wanderers, Whyteleafe and Chipstead.

Elphick feels those matches will be crucial for his side and is hoping they can come away with an impressive points haul.

He said: “It’s a really key few matches coming up for us in the next few weeks.

“We have a run of four straight home matches and we will be looking to win all of them.

“So far, we have been impressive on the road but struggled a little at home.

“Hopefully, with these four home games in a row, we can make Woodside a bit of a fortress.

“It’s an interesting mix of games, with both Chipstead and East Grinstead in the bottom four, while Dorking and Whyteleafe are in the top half.
